Senior SAP Digital Innovations Consultant, MM

Position Description:  SAP functional consulting with a focus on NDBS developed digital innovations (fka intellectual property (iPI)). 


A successful candidate will have the following skills:

  • Strong SAP Materials Management skills
  • Strong knowledge of procure to pay and inventory management business processes
  • Experience providing SAP application support/management
  • Strong analytical, problem solving, and customer service skills
  • Have at least 5 years of SAP Materials Management experience and a solid understanding of the integration points across SAP functional areas specifically, financials, order to cash, production planning, and warehouse management.


The candidate should be able to:

  • Lead IP implementations including:  Fit / Gap analysis of customer requirements to target solution, execute solution demonstrations or playback to the customer, drive implementation test procedures, customization, provide master data guidance, and create specifications for Client specific development or enhancements.
  • Strong collaborator with proven track record of delivering successful projects
    • Key resources:  India Product Development, Project Management, Delivery functional and technical leads, iPI Management
  • Capable to manage competing priorities, and meet commitments
  • Bring energy and a strong willingness to learn
  • Work well within a team environment yet be a self-starter and leader to accomplish their own work
  • Improve and evaluate internal processes and procedures:  Statement of Work scope and deliverables definition, project methodology, resource estimates, and global collaboration needs.


The successful candidate will join an energetic team serving more than 200 customers in a variety of SAP solutions. This is a diverse team of highly skilled resources located in the US, India, and Romania who works with colleagues across many other countries.


Duties and Responsibilities:

  • As a senior consultant use business process, functional, and industry knowledge to provide quality implementation and support of NDBS Digital Innovation (fka iPI products)
  • Effectively manage priorities across a wide variety of customers including enhancements, projects, incidents, or service requests submitted by our broad client base. 
  • Understand the importance of clear communications, accurate estimates, process knowledge, and itelligence tools to formulate quality solutions in order to generate revenue for itelligence and value-added solutions for our client base
  • Identify optimization opportunities to further add business value to customers
  • Thrive in a team-oriented environment working with other functional and technical consultants both in the US and across the globe.  
  • Work effectively with offshore resources for custom developments within the iPI delivery space
  • Provide input to delivering Materials Management and Data related iPI more effectively, including product improvement suggestions
  • Provide first level AMS and Maintenance Support for post go-live customers


Travel expectation is upto 50%.


Position Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree related to manufacturing or production planning, such as a degree in mechanical engineering, industrial engineering, or a related field of study.
  • 5+ years of SAP Materials Management implementation or production support experience with understanding of the integration points with other SAP modules OR Master’s degree and 3 years of experience
  • Experience in multiple, full lifecycle SAP implementations
  • 2 years leadership experience on SAP implementation projects or production support
  • Experience configuring multiple SAP modules OR experience across multiple industries
  • 2 years integration experience with other process areas
  • Must meet or exceed itelligence general consulting competencies of Personal Skills, Methodical Skills, Business Skills and Leadership
  • Appropriate attire required at all internal and external client site locations


Preferred Experience in the following areas:

  • Procurement Process
  • Inventory Management
  • Logistics Invoice Verification
  • Physical Inventory
  • Master Data and Enterprise Structure as it relates to Materials Management
  • Valuation and Account Determination
  • Characteristic Based Procurement experience a plus
  • Material Requirements Planning
  • Purchasing Optimization
  • Enhancement and user-exits in areas of functional expertise
  • S/4 HANA 1610 or 1709 exposure and/or training
  • Fiori experience
  • Upgrade, Roll-out, and Implementation projects
