Staff Accountant

Position Description:

This position will be part of the company’s internal Accounting Department and report to the Controller.  Responsibilities include supporting month end accounting close process, monitoring expenses, budget and financial data, providing various reports, as well as special projects as needed.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Perform general accounting functions
• Assist in monthly close process
• Invoice customers and perform revenue reconciliations
• Assist with audited related items and projects
• Communicate with peers, management and others in a courteous and professional manner
• Duties require broad conceptual judgement, initiative and ability to deal with complex accounting issues

Position requirements / Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
• 2-5 years of general accounting experience
• Thorough knowledge of GAAP
• Excellent analytical skills
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Excellent verbal and communication skills
• Ability to multi-task and handle multiple projects at the same time
• Must be detail oriented
• Proficient in Microsoft Office with advanced level in Excel
• Ability to learn and use various company software packages

Preferred skills:

• SAP ERP software experience
• Tax experience and/or experience working with tax advisors
