NTT Business Solutions UK are creating a new test-focused SAP practice, delivering a standard core of SAP test practice processes across the group based on SAP Success Factors and S4Hana. This is also an opportunity to modernise the testing approach for SAP projects through the use of standard test execution and automation tools

As part of this programme, we are recruiting an experienced SAP Test Lead.  The role will principally be based on client sites across the UK, with some home working opportunities, where the project can accommodate such flexibility

This successful person will be the on-site testing lead for clients during the course of projects. The role will start with ensuring that we enter and exit the various test phases with a fit for purpose functional build end product.  This will include working with the business to ensure that the testing requirements are met and developing the high level testing scenarios and the test execution plans. 

You will be working closely with other 3rd party suppliers and key project SME’s. The successful candidate will also responsible for ensuring that the appropriate testing tools are in place and set up correctly. The successfully candidate will use these tools to manage the test execution cycle and the management of defects and progress status reporting.  Good defect management experience is essential to the role. 

Overall objectives for this role are: 

• • Being a hands-on automation test lead with good project management abilities 
  • Able to design, develop, review automation test strategy, framework, automation architecture, specifications, test scripts & automate test execution
  • Liase with 3rd party suppliers, business, functional and development teams to create an automation test plan for each test phase and generate automation test packs with scripts and reports to ensure that the testing expectations are met
  • Being responsible for on-time completion of automation planning, creation of functional/regression test automation suite and execution activities of all the key testing cycles for the programme
  • Responsible for automation sprint planning, task assignment for automation team, reviewing deliverables and tracking/monitoring project automation test progress.
  • Review the progress with stakeholders and define corrective measures if necessary along with modifying tests as necessary
  • Ensure that the testing tools are in place, configured & user familiarisation sessions held
  • Ensure that the automated test scripts are developed, reviewed and approved for use
  • Provide daily / weekly automation script development and test progress status reports
  • Responsible for manage and coordinate with onshore and offshore team of testers
  • Responsible for collecting, tracking KPIs/Metrics; identify and analyse improvement opportunities, implement improvement approach on automation framework
  • Be the point of escalation for automation testing related issues for client & tool support teams and provide specialist advice
  • Contribute to further refining and developing the overall automation practice team methodology and collateral
  • Contribute in seeking opportunities to deliver effective repeatability and future accelerators using automation reusable assets
  • Contribute testing expertise to sales bids and marketing initiatives

Experience & Background: 

• • Demonstrable experience, knowledge and understanding of automation testing within modern software/applications development
  • Knowledge and strong hands-on experience of automation of enterprise solution (preferably SAP S4/HANA, Fiori, SuccessFactors, Web, API, Mobile, SAP Hybris, C4H)– at least 1 project test cycles
  • Knowledge and proven 2+ years hands-on experience in enterprise level application automation with Tricentis Tosca implementation
  • Knowledge of any SAP focussed test tools - SAP Solution Manager, ALM, Jira, Tricentis, Work soft.
  • Knowledge of any SAP Modules like MM, SD, FI, PP, PM
  • Demonstrates a high level of personal responsibility and autonomy, planning own work to meet given objectives within a defined framework
  • Experience of working with a system integrator and diverse teams 
  • Experience with working through all standard test phases e.g. SIT, E2E, UAT and OAT
  • Experience of leading triage meetings and creating daily / weekly reports  
  • Understanding of SAP ACTIVATE methodology
  • Experience of working with onshore/offshore test and functional teams
  • Experience in mentoring and facilitating Tricentis Tosca training to new team members and assisting on techno-functional grounds
  • Excellent in Excel with Macros, PowerPoint and Word skills with good attention to detail.
  • Conveys professionalism in stakeholder management and customer communication skills with positively influencing others to take a specific course of quality actions
  • Adaptive person with highly solution focussed and takes a positive and proactive approach
  • Nice to have an exposure to working with multiple global teams across different time zones and flexibility to accommodate

Desirable qualifications:

• • Tosca Automation Specialist Practitioner (Level 1 & 2) or any other tool equivalent
  • Tosca Automation Specialist Practitioner (SAP)
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computers or equivalent
