Job Description: - **Experience: ** 3–5 years of professional Android development. - **Languages & platforms: ** Proficient in Kotlin and Java with a solid grasp of the Android SDK, Jetpack libraries and Material Design guidelines. Familiarity with Kotlin Multiplatform (KMM/KMP) for sharing business logic across platforms is a plus. - **Architectures & patterns: ** Familiar with modern architectures such as MVVM/Clean and asynchronous programming using Coroutines. - **Version control & collaboration: ** Comfortable with Git, pull‑request workflows and code reviews. - **Networking & data: ** Familiar with REST/GraphQL APIs, JSON serialization (Kotlinx, Moshi, Gson) and common networking stacks like Retrofit and OkHttp. - **Testing & CI/CD: ** Strong unit‑, UI‑ and instrumentation‑testing mindset and experience with continuous integration/continuous deployment tooling. - **Soft skills: ** Clear communicator with a collaborative spirit and passion for delivering real value to users. - **Bonus exposure: ** Additional experience in one or more of: iOS (Swift/Objective‑C), WPF/.NET desktop applications, JavaScript/TypeScript (React, Node.js) or backend microservices (Spring Boot, Ktor). ## Tasks - **Application development: ** Design, develop and maintain robust Android applications using Kotlin and legacy Java. - **Collaboration: ** Work closely with product managers, designers and fellow developers to deliver high‑quality features on schedule. - **Code quality: ** Write clean, testable, maintainable code leveraging modern Android architecture components such as Jetpack, MVVM and Coroutines. - **Performance & UX: ** Optimize performance, handle offline scenarios and ensure a smooth UI/UX across phones, tablets and rugged devices. - **Integration: ** Integrate with APIs and local databases (e.g. SQLCipher). - **Automation & pipelines: ** Contribute to CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions/Azure) and automated testing (JUnit, Mockito). - **Bug fixing: ** Troubleshoot and resolve bugs, memory leaks and platform‑specific quirks. - **Continuous learning: ** Stay current with Android ecosystem changes (Compose, Material 3, Play Store policies) and share learnings with the team.
