Job Description: • Overall 3 – 6 years’ Experience in DNS Network Engineer and Server Management • Experience in Server (physical/VM) installation, maintenance & decommissioning • Manage and maintain enterprise DNS infrastructure (Infoblox, BIND, Microsoft DNS, or BlueCat). • Create, modify, and delete DNS records (A, AAAA, CNAME, MX, PTR, TXT, SRV, NS) as per business requirements. • Configure and maintain DNS zones, zone transfers, forwarding, and delegation. • Monitor DNS services to ensure high availability and optimal performance. • Troubleshoot DNS-related issues, including name resolution, replication, and connectivity problems. • Perform DNS migrations, upgrades, patching, and system maintenance activities. • Work closely with Network, Server, Security, and Application teams to resolve infrastructure issues. • Implement DNS security best practices, including DNSSEC, access controls (ACLs), and secure configurations. • Participate in Incident, Change, Problem, and Request Management processes following ITIL standards. • Perform root cause analysis (RCA) for major incidents and implement preventive measures. • Maintain technical documentation, SOPs, knowledge articles, and operational runbooks. • Support disaster recovery (DR) planning, testing, and business continuity activities. • Automate repetitive administrative tasks using Shell, Python, PowerShell, or Ansible where applicable. • Monitor infrastructure using enterprise monitoring tools and proactively address potential issues. • Participate in 24×7 on-call or shift support to ensure continuous service availability. • Ensure compliance with organizational security policies, change management procedures, and service level agreements (SLAs). • Collaborate with cross-functional teams during infrastructure deployments, migrations, and maintenance windows. • Continuously improve operational processes through automation, documentation, and process optimization. Roles & Responsibilities: • Deliver 3rd level technical support in compliance with customer SLAs • Daily Compute operations (Events/Incidents/SR/CR/RCA ..) following ITIL processes • Server installation, maintenance, monitoring, decommission and special configurations beyond automated tasks • Storage Operations based on netapp-nfs • Package/repository management and OS image maintenance • Patch Management using BladeLogic Automation • Server related Monitoring/Alert configuration and rollouts • Performance tests and analysis • Root Cause Analysis for customer incidents • Service/Task documentation, testing, quality management and knowledge transfer • assist 2nd level technical support in complex tasks • willingness to participate in an OnCall setup which may include weekends or public holidays if required by the project • That is what makes us special: Key Responsibilities • Manage and support enterprise DNS infrastructure. • Configure and maintain DNS zones, records, and delegation. • Troubleshoot DNS resolution, latency, and connectivity issues. • Perform DNS migrations, upgrades, and patching activities. • Monitor DNS infrastructure and ensure high availability. • Work with internal teams to resolve DNS-related incidents and service requests. • Implement DNS security best practices (DNSSEC, ACLs, etc.). • Maintain documentation, SOPs, and operational procedures. • Participate in on-call support and incident management. • Perform root cause analysis (RCA) for major incidents. Required Skills • Strong understanding of: • DNS (BIND, Infoblox, Microsoft DNS, BlueCat, etc.) • TCP/IP • DHCP • Networking fundamentals • Routing and Switching • Experience with Linux (RHEL/SUSE) and Windows Server. • Knowledge of DNS troubleshooting tools: • nslookup • dig • host • tcpdump • Wireshark • Experience with monitoring tools. • Basic scripting knowledge (Shell/Python/PowerShell). • Understanding of ITIL processes (Incident, Change, Problem Management). Preferred Skills • Cloud DNS experience (AWS Route 53, Azure DNS, Google Cloud DNS). • Automation using Ansible or Terraform. • Load Balancers (F5, Citrix ADC). • Firewall basics. • DNSSEC implementation. • Experience in enterprise migration projects. Certifications (Preferred) • CCNA / CCNP • Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA) • ITIL Foundation • AWS or Azure Associate Certification Good-to-Have • Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills. • Good communication and documentation skills. • Ability to work in rotational shifts and provide on-call support. • Experience working in enterprise production environments.
