Job Summary
We are looking for a highly skilled Mainframe Quality Engineer (QE) with 6–9 years of experience in Mainframe Testing and legacy systems validation. The ideal candidate should possess strong expertise in CICS, VSAM, JCL, DB2, SPUFI, batch processing, and backend data validation. Experience in modern test automation tools such as Playwright and CI/CD practices will be an added advantage.
Key Responsibilities
•    Design, develop, and execute test plans, test cases, and test scenarios for Mainframe and legacy applications. 
•    Perform functional, integration, regression, and end-to-end testing across Mainframe environments. 
•    Validate business processes involving CICS transactions, batch jobs, VSAM files, and DB2 databases. 
•    Analyze and verify JCL job execution, job dependencies, and batch processing workflows. 
•    Conduct backend data validation using DB2 and SPUFI to ensure data accuracy and integrity. 
•    Perform defect analysis, root cause identification, and collaborate with development teams for timely resolution. 
•    Validate file processing, data migration, and interface testing between Mainframe and distributed systems. 
•    Support release testing and production deployment validation activities. 
•    Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to quality improvement initiatives. 
•    Maintain testing documentation, execution reports, and defect tracking records.

Qualifications
•    Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field. 
•    Relevant certifications in Mainframe Technologies, Software Testing, or Automation are desirable.
