Job Description: SAP SD Consultant
Role Overview
The SAP SD Consultant will be responsible for implementing, configuring, and supporting SAP Sales and Distribution (SD) modules, focusing on Order-to-Cash (O2C) processes and ensuring compliance with Indian taxation and e-invoicing requirements. This role demands strong functional expertise, hands-on experience in India localization, and the ability to manage end-to-end implementations.
Key Responsibilities
•    Implementation & Configuration:
•    Configure SAP SD functionalities: sales order management, pricing, delivery, billing, credit management.
•    Implement GST, e-invoicing, and India-specific statutory requirements.
•    Set up pricing procedures, condition types, rebates, and tax configurations.
•    Manage copy controls, partner functions, and output determination.

•    Integration:
•    Ensure seamless integration with FI, MM, PP, and other SAP modules.
•    Collaborate with technical teams for RICEF developments and interfaces (IDOC, EDI).

•    Project Management:
•    Lead requirement gathering, blueprinting, and functional specifications.
•    Execute full lifecycle projects: greenfield implementations, rollouts, and migrations.
•    Conduct SIT/UAT testing and resolve defects.

•    Support & Optimization:
•    Provide post-go-live support and troubleshoot SD issues.
•    Optimize OTC processes and enhance system workflows.

•    Documentation & Training:
•    Prepare functional specifications and configuration documents.
•    Conduct end-user training and create user manuals.
Required Skills & Competencies
SAP Expertise:
•    7–9 years of SAP SD experience with at least 2+ end-to-end implementations.
•    Hands-on experience in S/4HANA SD and India localization (GST, e-invoicing).
•    Strong knowledge of OTC cycle, pricing, billing, and credit management.
•    
•    Technical & Functional Skills:
•    Proficiency in configuration and customization of SD modules.
•    Basic ABAP debugging and familiarity with Fiori apps.
•    Knowledge of IDOC processing and integration with other modules.
•    
•    Soft Skills:
•    Excellent communication and client-facing skills.
•    Ability to work in Agile environments and manage cross-functional teams.
•    Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Qualifications
•    Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, IT, or related field.
•    SAP SD certification (preferred).
•    Proven experience in India implementation projects.
Nice-to-Have
•    Exposure to SAP GTS and advanced returns management.
•    Experience in public cloud or private cloud implementations.
•    Knowledge of transportation management and third-party sales processes.
