Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Mainframe Developer with 6–9 years of hands-on experience in Mainframe technologies. The ideal candidate will be responsible for application development, enhancement, maintenance, and support of critical enterprise applications. The candidate should possess strong technical expertise in Mainframe development tools and technologies, along with excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
Key Responsibilities
•    Design, develop, test, and maintain Mainframe applications. 
•    Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical solutions. 
•    Perform application enhancements, bug fixes, and production support activities. 
•    Develop and maintain batch and online programs using COBOL, JCL, CICS, and DB2. 
•    Work on VSAM file processing, performance tuning, and data management. 
•    Monitor and troubleshoot batch jobs using Control-M. 
•    Participate in code reviews, unit testing, integration testing, and deployment activities. 
•    Collaborate with cross-functional teams, business analysts, and stakeholders. 
•    Ensure adherence to coding standards, security guidelines, and best practices. 
•    Support incident resolution and root cause analysis for production issues. 
•    Contribute to modernization initiatives involving APIs and Microservices where applicable. 
Required Skills
•    6–9 years of experience in Mainframe application development and maintenance. 
•    Strong hands-on experience in: 
o    COBOL 
o    JCL 
o    DB2 
o    VSAM 
o    MVS 
o    CICS 
o    Control-M 
o    Endeavor 
o    ISPF 
o    TSO 
•    Experience in application support, troubleshooting, and production maintenance. 
•    Strong understanding of SDLC processes and Agile methodologies. 
•    Ability to analyze complex business and technical requirements. 
•    Excellent debugging and problem-solving skills. 
Preferred Skills
•    Exposure to Microservices architecture and API integration. 
•    Experience with modernization or migration projects involving Mainframe systems. 
•    Knowledge of DevOps practices and CI/CD processes. 
•    Familiarity with cloud technologies is an added advantage. 
Soft Skills
•    Strong verbal and written communication skills. 
•    Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment. 
•    Strong stakeholder management and coordination skills. 
•    Proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement. 
Educational Qualification
•    Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
