Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Performance Test Engineer with 6–9 years of experience in performance engineering and testing of enterprise-grade web applications, APIs, and distributed systems. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in performance testing tools such as JMeter, LoadRunner, or Akamai CloudTest, along with a solid understanding of HTTP/S protocols, REST APIs, and modern web technologies.
The candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, executing, and analyzing performance tests to ensure application scalability, reliability, and responsiveness under varying load conditions.
Key Responsibilities
•    Design, develop, and execute performance, load, stress, endurance, and scalability tests for web applications and APIs. 
•    Create and maintain performance test scripts using JMeter, LoadRunner, or Akamai CloudTest. 
•    Analyze application performance bottlenecks and provide recommendations for performance optimization. 
•    Monitor application behavior and system performance during test execution. 
•    Collaborate with developers, architects, DevOps teams, and business stakeholders to identify and resolve performance issues. 
•    Perform root cause analysis using logs, traces, metrics, and monitoring tools. 
•    Validate performance requirements and Service Level Agreements (SLAs). 
•    Generate comprehensive performance test reports and present findings to stakeholders. 
•    Integrate performance testing into CI/CD pipelines and Agile delivery processes. 
•    Support capacity planning and production performance assessments. 
Required Skills & Qualifications
•    6–9 years of hands-on experience in Performance Testing and Performance Engineering. 
•    Strong expertise in at least one performance testing tool: 
o    Apache JMeter 
o    LoadRunner 
o    Akamai CloudTest 
•    Strong understanding of: 
o    HTTP/HTTPS protocols 
o    RESTful APIs 
o    Web Services 
o    Client-Server Architecture 
o    Web Application Performance Concepts 
•    Experience in workload modeling, test scenario creation, and test execution. 
•    Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills. 
•    Ability to identify and diagnose performance bottlenecks across application, database, and infrastructure layers. 
•    Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments. 
Preferred Skills
•    Experience with Application Performance Monitoring (APM) tools: 
o    Dynatrace 
o    AppDynamics 
o    Datadog 
•    Experience with observability and log analysis tools: 
o    Splunk 
o    Distributed Tracing Tools 
o    Log Analytics Platforms 
•    Knowledge of cloud platforms and microservices architecture. 
•    Exposure to CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or GitHub Actions. 
•    Basic scripting knowledge in Python, Shell, or Java preferred. 
•    Experience in monitoring production environments and performance tuning activities. 
Soft Skills
•    Excellent verbal and written communication skills. 
•    Strong stakeholder management and collaboration abilities. 
•    Ability to work independently and drive performance initiatives. 
•    Strong problem-solving and analytical mindset. 
•    Experience mentoring junior performance engineers is a plus. 
Nice to Have
•    Experience in Performance Engineering and Shift-Left Performance Testing practices. 
•    Exposure to containerized environments (Docker/Kubernetes). 
•    Knowledge of cloud-native monitoring and observability solutions. 
•    Experience in enterprise-scale application performance optimization.
