Role Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Murex Java Engineer to provide specialist L3 production support and engineering expertise for Murex-integrated Java applications. The role focuses on ensuring production stability, resolving complex technical issues, supporting Murex–Java integrations, and delivering enhancements across critical trading and market data platforms.

Key Responsibilities
•    Own and manage L3 support activities for Murex-integrated Java services such as: 
o    PhoenixService 
o    DataService 
o    MarketDataService 
o    TradeService 
•    Troubleshoot and resolve complex production issues across Murex core modules, APIs, and Java applications. 
•    Develop fixes, enhancements, and performance improvements for Murex integration components. 
•    Support stabilization and remediation activities for production incidents and recurring issues. 
•    Collaborate with Murex functional teams, business users, and upstream/downstream application teams. 
•    Analyze batch processing jobs, service performance, and data flow issues. 
•    Ensure data integrity, consistency, and reliability across integrated systems. 
•    Support release deployments, integration testing, and environment validations. 
•    Investigate dependency upgrades, framework transitions, and compatibility-related challenges. 
•    Participate in root cause analysis and implement preventive measures.

Mandatory Skills & Experience
•    6–10 years of hands-on experience in Java development and production support. 
•    Strong experience working with Murex-integrated systems. 
•    Proven expertise in supporting Murex-based production environments. 
•    Strong programming skills in: 
o    Java 11 
o    Java 21 
•    Solid understanding of: 
o    Dependency management and upgrades 
o    Compatibility analysis 
o    Framework migration and transitions 
•    Deep knowledge of Murex architecture and Java integration patterns. 
•    Experience with: 
o    Murex APIs 
o    Murex data models 
o    Murex workflows 
•    Strong SQL skills with database troubleshooting experience. 
•    Linux/Unix production support expertise. 
•    Excellent troubleshooting skills across distributed systems and complex application landscapes.

•    Knowledge of Java 21 features such as: 
o    Virtual Threads 
o    Structured Concurrency 
o    Pattern Matching 
o    Sequenced Collections 
•    Familiarity with Murex integration components: 
o    MDRS

o    MXML Exchange Adapters 
o    Workflow and Market Data Plugins 
•    Experience working in multi-environment setups: 
o    Development 
o    UAT 
o    Production 
o    CI/CD environments 
•    Knowledge of: 
o    REST APIs 
o    Messaging frameworks 
o    Batch processing integrations 
•    Exposure to: 
o    SonarQube 
o    Unit Testing 
o    Integration Testing
