We are looking for an experienced SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) Planning Consultant to design, implement, and support enterprise planning solutions using SAP Analytics Cloud. The role focuses on financial and operational planning, budgeting, forecasting, and scenario analysis, working closely with business stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable SAC planning models.

This role requires a strong functional planning background with hands-on SAC Planning experience and the ability to bridge business and technical teams.

 

Key Responsibility Areas

 

SAP SAC Planning Implementation

  • Design and build SAC Planning models (financial and/or operational)
  • Configure versions (Budget, Forecast, Actual, Rolling Forecast)
  • Develop Data Actions and Multi Actions for planning logic
  • Implement Advanced Formulas, allocations, spreading, and driver-based planning
  • Configure time dimensions, calendars, and hierarchies
  • Set up user security and data access controls

 

Business & Functional Engagement

  • Work closely with Finance, FP&A, and business users to gather planning requirements
  • Translate business planning processes into SAC solutions
  • Support what-if analysis, scenario planning, and variance analysis
  • Conduct workshops, user training, and knowledge transfer sessions
  • Provide functional guidance and best practices for SAC Planning

 

Integration & Data Management

  • Collaborate with technical teams on data integration from:
    • SAP S/4HANA
    • SAP BW / BW4HANA
    • Other non-SAP data sources (where applicable)
  • Support Live and Import data connection strategies
  • Ensure data consistency between Actuals and Planning data

 

Support & Continuous Improvement

  • Provide post-implementation support and enhancements
  • Troubleshoot planning model issues and performance bottlenecks
  • Recommend process improvements and SAC feature adoption

Qualification, Critical Knowledge, Skills & Experience

  • 5 to 7+ years of experience in SAP Analytics Cloud, with hands-on Planning experience
  • Strong understanding of budgeting, forecasting, and planning processes
  • Experience with:
    • SAC Planning Models
    • Versions & scenarios
    • Data Actions / Multi Actions
    • Advanced Formulas
    • Allocations and spreading logic
  • Solid functional background in:
    • SAP FI / CO, FP&A, or enterprise planning
  • Ability to communicate effectively with business stakeholders 

Preferred / Advantage

  • Experience integrating SAC with SAP S/4HANA or SAP BW
  • Knowledge of management reporting and variance analysis
  • Exposure to Value Driver Trees and predictive planning
  • Prior experience in enterprise rollout or regional/global implementations
