- Ensure master data supports global process harmonization, reporting, planning, statutory needs, and operational execution.
- Collaborate with data governance teams to establish controls for creation, change approval, and ongoing data-quality monitoring.
6. Security, Compliance, and Controls
- Define logistics access design requirements in collaboration with SAP Security and GRC teams.
- Ensure appropriate segregation of duties, approval controls, inventory controls, auditability, and traceability across logistics processes.
- Support regulated-industry requirements, including GxP, GMP, batch traceability, electronic records, controlled changes, and validation requirements where applicable.
- Ensure solution design supports internal audit, external audit, data-retention, and compliance requirements.
- Define key controls for procurement approvals, inventory adjustments, stock movements, physical inventory, and sensitive master-data changes.
7. Delivery Leadership and Quality Assurance
- Provide architecture leadership throughout discovery, design, build, test, deployment, and hypercare phases.
- Lead cross-functional design reviews and resolve complex process, integration, data, and technical design issues.
- Review configuration designs, functional specifications, technical specifications, and testing approaches for architectural compliance.
- Guide logistics workstream leads and functional consultants on solution design decisions and delivery priorities.
- Manage architecture risks, dependencies, design decisions, assumptions, and change impacts.
- Support project leadership with scope assessment, estimates, release planning, and delivery sequencing.
8. Testing, Cutover, and Operational Readiness
- Define end-to-end testing strategy for integrated logistics scenarios.
- Ensure critical business processes, interface failures, exception handling, controls, reporting, and operational scenarios are covered in testing.
- Provide architectural oversight for cutover activities, including master data, stock migration, open procurement documents, warehouse data, batch data, and reconciliation requirements.
