Summary of Role

 

As the Managed Services Finance L4 Consultant, you will be responsible delivering support to a multitude of SAP Finance customers. This is a very customer focused, hands-on role consultative role where you will be expected to work on customer issues & developments.

 

You will need to have very strong technical skills as well as need to be able to build strong relationships across the various teams within Managed Services and, also, with other LOBs, primarily with the UK Consulting teams.

 

This will be a home-based role with minimal travel and will involve managing both UK-based and offshore consultants within your dedicated team. You will need to be comfortable working remotely, and you will also need to be experienced in collaborating with offshore resources.

 

The ideal candidate will be able to encourage effective team-working by working collaboratively with the rest of the AMS teams and will support team members (technically and operationally) in achieving continuous improvement by encouraging ideas and recommendations for procedural, operational and system improvements.

 

Essential Skills & Experience:

 

  • Deep knowledge and expert knowledge of S4 HANA (Cloud & On-Prem) and ECC Finance, especially Product Cost Controlling (Includes Material Ledger) and Project Systems (Includes Results analysis and settlement)
  • General Ledger including Tax, Accounts Payable / Receivable, Electronic Bank Statement, Fixed Assets
  • Cross functional knowledge across Billing, Purchasing / Materials Management, Project Systems (Includes Logistic to Financials integration), workflow and Concur Travel Expenses
  • High level of verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Documentation skills including functional specifications, test scripts
  • Excellent design, configuration and testing of specific core functional modules
  • Work within a remote consulting support team for contracted customers using the NTT Data service management systems and processes and delivering within defined SLA or requested dates
  • Feedback potential solutions in a logical way for both SAP knowledgeable and non-knowledgeable audiences
  • A strong ability to understand business processes and design appropriate solutions
  • Excellent verbal and interpersonal communication skills for working with the functional and customer teams
  • Track record of full project lifecycle and development activities
  • Can act as liaison with client for troubleshooting i.e., strong skills regarding investigation, analysis, and problem solving. Able to map client business requirements, processes, and objectives
  • Ability to provide end to end business solutions
  • Ability to oversee larger pieces of work
  • Proven experience in a combined customer service handling / functional support role
  • Experience within a consultant environment an advantage
  • Capable of managing own workload with minimal supervision to tight deadlines
  • Able to prioritise and distribute team workload effectively
  • Able to deal with challenging customer and resource issues in a professional and supportive manner and to see these through to resolution
  • Keen to offer ideas and solutions to develop the AMS Functional Support function
  • Ability to oversee and manage larger pieces of work (up to about 10 days)
  • Proven experience in a combined customer service handling / functional support role
  • Capable of managing own workload with minimal supervision to tight deadlines, and, also, able to prioritise and distribute team workload effectively
  • Able to deal with challenging customers and resource issues in a professional and supportive manner with commitment to see issues through to resolution
  • Collaborative and team-orientated attitude

 

Additional Knowledge/Understanding of any of the following topics would be highly advantageous:

 

    • BPC and SAP Analytics Cloud Planning
    • Credit Management & Disputes and Collections management
    • FSCM, Treasury, Liquidity Management, BCM Bank Communication Management
    • New GL, exchange rate processing, revaluation, month end reconciliation
    • Knowledge of submission of Tax: MTD, SII, SAF-T, E-Invoicing, DART
    • Business Partner (BP) Management
    • MDG, LTMC, LSMW in context of Finance objects
    • Concur-SAP backend Integration challenges
    • IFRS 16 Lease Accounting

  • Use your own initiative to look for solutions/opportunities for improvement and be willing to make decisions
  • Travel will be a maximum 20%
  • Recognise the potential for small levels of repeat business
