Summary of Role

 

As the Managed Services Finance Team Lead, you will be responsible delivering support to a multitude of SAP Finance customers, as well as take on Team Leadership duties. This is a very customer focused, hands-on consultative role where you will be expected to work on customer issues & developments, as well as take on a Team Leadership role for the onshore and offshore Finance teams.

 

You will need to have very strong technical skills as well as need to be able to build strong relationships across the various teams within Managed Services and, also, with other LOBs, with both UK and India Consulting teams.

 

This will be a remote role with minimal travel and will involve managing both UK-based and offshore consultants within your dedicated team. You will need to be comfortable working remotely, and you will also need to be experienced in collaborating with offshore resources.

 

The ideal candidate will be able to encourage effective team-working by working collaboratively with the rest of the AMS teams and will support team members (technically, operationally and as a Team Lead) in achieving continuous improvement by encouraging ideas and recommendations for procedural, operational and system improvements.

 

Essential Skills & Experience:

•            Deep knowledge and expert knowledge of S4 HANA (Cloud & On-Prem) and ECC Finance, especially Product Cost Controlling

(Includes Material Ledger) and Project Systems (Includes Results analysis and settlement)

•            General Ledger including Tax, Accounts Payable / Receivable, Electronic Bank Statement, Fixed Assets

•            Cross functional knowledge across Billing, Purchasing / Materials Management, Project Systems (Includes Logistics to Financials integration), workflow and Concur Travel Expenses

•            High level of verbal and written communication skills in English

•            Documentation skills including functional specifications, test scripts

•            Excellent design, configuration and testing of specific core functional modules

•            Typically having led a team of between 4 and 7, having demonstrated duty of care as an employer and have managed employees through Process-Improvement-Plans, grievances, redundancies and other disciplinary action

•            Work within a remote consulting support team for contracted customers using the service management systems and processes and delivering within defined SLA or requested dates

•            Feedback potential solutions in a logical way for both SAP knowledgeable and non-knowledgeable audiences

•            A strong ability to understand business processes and design appropriate solutions

•            Excellent verbal and interpersonal communication skills for working with the functional and customer teams

•            Track record of full project lifecycle and development activities

•            Can act as liaison with client for troubleshooting i.e., strong skills regarding investigation, analysis, and problem solving. Able to map client business requirements, processes, and objectives

•            Ability to provide end to end business solutions

•            Ability to oversee larger pieces of work

•            Proven experience in a combined customer service handling / functional support role

•            Experience within a consultant environment an advantage

•            Capable of managing own workload with minimal supervision to tight deadlines

•            Able to prioritise and distribute team workload effectively

•            Able to deal with challenging customer and resource issues in a professional and supportive manner and to see these through to resolution

•            Keen to offer ideas and solutions to develop the AMS Functional Support function

•            Ability to oversee and manage larger pieces of work (up to about 10 days)

•            Proven experience in a combined customer service handling / functional support role

•            Capable of managing own workload with minimal supervision to tight deadlines, and, also, able to prioritise and distribute team workload effectively

•            Able to deal with challenging customers and resource issues in a professional and supportive manner with commitment to see issues through to resolution

•            Collaborative and team-orientated attitude

 

Additional Knowledge/Understanding of any of the following topics would be highly advantageous:

 

o            Concur-SAP backend Integration challenges

o            BPC and SAP Analytics Cloud Planning

o            Credit Management & Disputes and Collections management

o            FSCM, Treasury, Liquidity Management, BCM Bank Communication Management

o            New GL, exchange rate processing, revaluation, month end reconciliation

o            Knowledge of submission of Tax: MTD, SII, SAF-T, E-Invoicing, DART

o            Business Partner (BP) Management

o            MDG, LTMC, LSMW in context of Finance objects

o            IFRS 16 Lease Accounting

•            Deliver excellent support to our customers at all times

•            Be a strong Team Lead to onshore and offshore team members

•            Ensure individual and team members’ utilisation targets are met

•            Provide specifications & estimates for work in a timely manner, & effectively communicate status of work items to stakeholders

•            Strong communicator:

o               Able to communicate confidently with customers, internal Service Delivery Managers and team members

o               Ability to positively influence different stakeholders

o               Be accepted by customers as an appropriate partner in discussions.

o               Take responsibility and have great personal integrity

•            Demonstrate a proactive approach, commitment, and flexibility both internally and externally, showing best practices by example

•            Manage your own and team members’ tasks and workload. Recognise risks in the tasks and take action to minimize them

•            Use own initiative to look for solutions/opportunities for improvement, be capable of making decisions and provide an environment for team members to do the same

•            Be an effective mentor to team members

•            Travel will be a maximum 20%

•            Recognise the potential for various levels of repeat business
