POSITION DESCRIPTION OVERVIEW

The Solution Architect is a senior role within the ERP Solutions Practice with responsibility for the design and implementation of SAP product based solutions that meet the needs of our customers.  You will work alongside the programme management and delivery teams ensuring that solutions align and integrate within contracted technical specifications and NTT DATA/client IT strategy to deliver the intended and expected results.

Responsibilities and Expectations - 

Engage closely with customers as well as NTT DATA sales, business development and delivery teams to assist in the translation of business requirements into a solution that takes advantage of the most appropriate SAP products and propose a solution architecture to deliver the customer requirements. This will include:

• Collaboratively compile statements of work to support any stage of the sales and deal review processes.
• Lead and co-ordinate integrated workshops with detail and complexity at Director level.
• Deliver roadmap sessions to customers, ensuring that through the design and lifecycle of the project customers are clear on the journey to leveraging value from their SAP solution platform.
• Identify technologies to employ and architect solution strategies that successfully deliver required customer and prospect outcomes whilst advising and working closely with NTT DATA programme management and technical delivery teams to ensure conversion to a successful and profitable project.
• Provide thought leadership and participate in industry forums, conduct roadshows, seminars, blog and participate in marketing activities to promote SAP technology and solutions to NTT DATA customer and prospects.  Work with the Chief Technology Officer to evolve the NTT DATA technology strategy including the identification and evaluation of third party partners and products.
• Act as the design authority on the projects in which your area of expertise forms a significant element of the overall solution and generate consulting revenue from such activities.
• Be a primary problem solver, focusing on reviewing and defining architectures, working across multiple complex customer projects.  Provide quality assurance across a range of projects where not directly engaged.
• Adhering to the agreed NTT DATA strategy, engage in self-directed and other learning to keep pace with new technologies and developments to ensure NTT DATA remains at the forefront of the market within which we operate.  Share, use and communicate expert knowledge in order to develop others and make business processes more effective.
• Recognise potential for repeat and extended business with respect to the end-to-end service offering by NTT DATA and provide comprehensive input.  Support NTT DATA to grow our business by being alert to the customer opportunities that present themselves, including development and escalation of NTT DATA IP opportunities, as appropriate.

PERSONAL PROFILE - SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

Proven and demonstrable technical and solution expertise and experience across multiple relevant SAP software products including SAP S/4HANA Supply Chain modules (On-prem and Cloud).

Experience with SCM products such as EWM or TM are highly desirable, as is familiarity with SAP Cloud solutions such as Ariba, IBP, SuccessFactors and SAP Analytics Cloud.

Proven and demonstrable track record of successfully delivering customer projects and providing solutions for the resolution of complex architecture projects.

Experience of strongly contributing to the delivery of a Target Operating Model for definition of future supply chain models aligned to customer needs.

Strong interpersonal and soft skills, able to quickly develop relationships with all stakeholders; within NTT DATA locally and globally, external customers, suppliers and partners to become a trusted advisor in your of field of expertise.

Demonstrates gravitas and personal integrity, is able to overcome unforeseen situations and keeps business objectives in mind.  Drives results, effects, convinces and inspires by his/her personality, behaviour and communication style.  Is a role model and ambassador.

PERSONAL PROFILE – EXPERIENCE

The successful candidate(s) will be able to demonstrate at least 15 years’ industry experience overall and a minimum of 6 years of professional experience working within an SAP consulting environment.  Experience working with a value added re-seller or software house would be advantageous.

Proven and demonstrable experience in solution design and architecture with successful delivery and experience of all elements of at least 8 full project lifecycles.

Minimum of 3 successful, full lifecycle projects as solution architect with a wide scope of software integration solutions. This will include large enterprise or multi-country global project deployment/roll-out programmes.

Should be adept at leading multi-disciplinary teams (including offshore), developing and maintaining strong business relationships and managing delivery teams through complex SAP projects, with the goal of always providing real value to the client.

Proven and demonstrable track record of successfully delivering customer projects and providing solutions for the resolution of complex architecture projects. Makes solid and reliable decisions in complex environments.
