Client Ownership

Creates, maintains and develops relationship to sustain client interest and growth.  Has the ability to meet the needs of each customer and successfully leads and influences team members in the delivery of the service.

Up to and including LE customers, ensure business is properly contracted so that the client has absolute clarity over level of service and NTT DATA makes revenue target and EBIT margin.  Protect margin at >25%.

Manage WBS codes/Estimates, PO’s/FOC days as required to and to NTT DATA business process and systems.

Makes solid and reliable decisions in complex environments.  Solves problems through a wide knowledge spectrum and experience.

Has a commercial awareness of and drives client opportunities.  Builds for the future.  Is a convincer and has the gravitas to influence at all levels.

Provides strategic support to help clients with changes/transformation, identifies opportunities and solutions for NTT DATA within that opportunity

Ensures changes to scope are controlled and agreed with the client through proper PCR management.

Creates a broad atmosphere of trust even in complicated customer relationships and performs as a bridge to NTT DATA whilst building company reputation for referenceable excellence.


Project Delivery

Manages scope and expectations ensuring maintenance and development of the NTT DATA engagement delivery guidelines and methodologies

Manages and delivers projects in accordance with defined guidelines leveraging agreed tools to support the process with consistent and uniform project reporting

Controls and delivers projects to budget, within timelines managed with the client and to quality standards

Proactively identifies, manages and shares risks and communicates progress

Maintains strict change control which balances commercial sensitivity with customer satisfaction

Reports project progress and RAID status on a weekly basis to Director of PMO practice.

Establishes and maintains quality standards.  Has the ability to draft concepts of risk assessment, use applicable tools respectively and actively draws up measures for reducing or minimizing risks.


People Management and Development

Continually develops own technical and soft skills to ensure skills development to meet requirements of the role and respected and trusted advisor status within a competitive market.

Shares knowledge and skill base with team, contributes to increasing skill base across the business.

Mentors and supports project team members providing input into the Talent Management Programme

Assists with the on boarding and orientation, training of new employees actively supporting the team and its development.


Utilisation and Revenue

Drives and delivers revenue in line with targets.  Convinces and inspires by his/her personality and behavior and communication style.

Manages a portfolio of client projects and/or engagements to effectively manage the operational risk to NTT DATA e.g. resource deployment, financial dimensions, service delivery

Identifies, outlines and delivers project resource plans to meet personal and company utilisation targets

Escalates and drives the conversation to maximize opportunities for NTT DATA and business revenue.  Brings together with power of the NTTDATA UK business along with our parent and sister companies within NTT and our business partners.

Minimises risk of FOC days


Project Methodology and Organisation:

Defines the optimum project approach based on NTT DATA standards. Organises the project independently. Gives the project team clear input of the project procedure and of the requirements. Is responsible for the project planning with respect to people, cost and deadlines. 


Contract Management:

Is able to understand complex contracts in order to track the content with respect to costs and benefits in the project. Ensures that the change request process is used and applied respectively.


PM – Tools NTT DATA:

Has a comprehensive knowledge of the NTT DATA project management tools and utilises these confidently in the project.


Technical and Business Management Integration know how:

Contributes to technical discussions with integration know-how. Has a clear understanding of the overall processes in the project and can give professional support in discussions and bring about decisions.  


Communication and Behaviour:

Drives results, effects, convinces and inspires by own personality, is role model for the project team and manages unexpected situations successfully. Remains confident and cautious and does not lose track of the project goal. Moderates conflicts in projects, brings about compromises, and is assertive and convincing.


Task and Time Management:

Has the ability to integrate and manage several sub-projects as a Project Manager.

Sets the necessary milestones in the project and tracks these accordingly.

Makes solid and reliable decisions in tense and challenging project situations, solves problems through knowledge or escalates promptly.

Recognizes risks to projects and proposes ways to minimize or avoid these.

Builds NTT DATA business networks, always has a focus on generation of follow up and new business to meet future targets.  Secures potential follow up business by networking and developing relationships at all levels.  Is a role model and ambassador.

Project manager in mid-sized to LE projects.  Leads the project team.  Is a role model

Takes into account the adapted leadership style of all project members (internal/external consultants, employees at customer's site).




Owns project and commercials, on LE projects, builds for the future

Minimum 10 years’ overall experience, minimum of 6 in relevant domain, industry and/or project experience.  Successful delivery and experience of all elements of a minimum of 10 full project lifecycles on large size projects of >2,000 person-days.

Broad and deep understanding of ASAP methodology preferably certified

Multiple full SAP project life cycles, end to end experience from project initiation through to go-live as well as experience of managing multiple medium to large projects £2M+ value

Prince 2 certification and/or experience of Agile methodologies e.g. Scrum an advantage

Demonstrable experience of accurate and effective project reporting, both internal and external

Experience in deploying SAP solutions 4+ preferred of the following industries: discrete manufacturing, engineering, process manufacturing, wholesale, consumer products.

Produces high quality project and bid documentation plus quality assurance review of project documents.

Able to lead and co-ordinate integrated workshops with detail and complexity.  Run director “C” level workshops and playback.

Understands complex contracts at the appropriate level in order to track content with respect to costs and benefits in the project.

Contributes to technical discussions with integration know how.  Has a clear understanding of the overall processes in the project and can give professional support in discussions and enable decisions.

A full UK driving licence and be willing to travel frequently to different UK customer sites including working away from home as required, the successful candidate will be home based
