The SAP Senior Solution Architect, Manufacturing is a strategic leader and trusted advisor responsible for guiding business process transformation and SAP solution design on complex implementation programs. Working closely with customers and project teams, this role combines deep business process expertise with SAP functional knowledge to deliver practical, value-driven solutions that align with business objectives, optimize operations, and support successful project outcomes. The Senior Solution Architect also drives process innovation, influences key design decisions, and contributes to business development through solution demonstrations and proof-of-concept initiatives.

Duties and Responsibilities: 

A. Project delivery support

• Designs simple solutions to complex problems in an environment where speed to market matters. Dedicated to helping others do the same.
• Solves complex business problems by architecting specific functional and technical solutions
• Streamlines business processes by leveraging deep knowledge of SAP S/4HANA capabilities, best practices, and cross-functional business process integrations.
• Strong understanding of business data needs and data transformation processes that support Project delivery objectives, primarily for Production Master Data and related objects.
• Constructive, candid communication, particularly when it comes to mentoring project consultants and interacting with cross-team stakeholders in the Manufacturing/Operations area.
• Expert level understanding of TOGAF framework (standards ISO/IEC/IEEE 42010) and SAP extensions (SAP EAF – Enterprise Architecture framework) are needed to describe architectural description/models (variety of lists, tables and diagrams) considering logical business functions or capabilities, business processes, human roles and actors, the physical organization structure, data flows and data stores, business applications and platform applications, hardware, and communications infrastructure.
• Ability to perform advisory assessments and provide recommendations to customers on process and solution optimization and improvements
• Ability to gather the requirements and responsible to develop the functionalities in SAP ERP, S/4, S/4 HANA Cloud, SAP Leonardo using data structures, algorithms, processing modelling, logical data modeling, encapsulation and inheritance techniques.

• Utilize the knowledge and analyze the multi modal databases of the customer and architect the best approach to process data in central and distributed data models and also sync and integrate data across different databases; Business Data Communications and Networking

• Support project manager and engagement director in managing customer expectation
• Credibility towards the client is based on business and SAP product knowledge. Use this credibility to advise client and provide guidance towards the best holistic project solution
• Ability to explain abstract and complex solutions in a way that the customer understands
• Ability to deliver difficult information at all organizational levels and determine appropriate courses of action

B. Quality control for delivery projects

• Review of solutions that have been designed for the Project across the Manufacturing, Production, Supply Chain and/or Operations areas
• Focus on the critical functional/technical integrations across modules
• Follow up on execution/adherence of proposed solution on a regular basis
• Mitigate future risks by addressing them early on
• Utilize the trusted advisor position to influence the client
• Assessment of escalation situation
• Project escalation management/ leading proper resolutions in escalation situations

C. Services Sales/Presales support 

• Support of sales/presales team
• Conduct discovery sessions
• Support of proposal creation by defining and describing scope and assumptions
• Design of solution roadmap together with the presales team
• Generation of follow up business through existing client relationships 

D. Develop Proof of Concepts

• Instrumental in the software design, development and proof of developing new technologies ie. IoT concepts, from the drawing board to market based on SAP platform.
• Understanding, advocating and augmenting the principles of emerging, innovative IT strategies in disruptive technologies such as IoT, big data, machine learning, and performance analytics using SAP Leonardo also integration with SAP ERP applications.
• Develop application proof of concepts ready to deal with higher scale and more complex challenges when moving into Beta through to production readiness.
• Act as a technical liaison between customers, partners, service engineering teams and support
• Ability to apply Design Thinking and design research to product and business strategy challenges
• Understanding the technology stack to include OS, DB, middleware, application layer, virtualization and cloud technologies while developing the end to end ERP/IOT solutions.
• Ability to use deliver the applications using wireless technologies and protocols such as 802.11, 802.15.4.

Position Requirements/Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or related field
2. 10 years of SAP project implementation experience across multiple modules and industries
3. Experience in multiple, full lifecycle SAP project implementations
4. Minimum 6 years of integration experience with other process areas
5. Minimum 6 years of leadership experience on SAP implementation/support projects in the Manufacturing and/or Operations areas.
6. Experience configuring multiple SAP modules AND experience across multiple industries, including Production and Supply Chain in Manufacturing industry.
7. Experience in SAP new platforms such as IOT.
