Job Description: Exp – 6 to 10 years Strong hands on experience with SAP HANA administration (Single DB & MDC). Expertise in HANA architecture and troubleshooting. Performance tuning & SQL analysis Backup/Recovery System Replication, HA & DR HANA upgrades Experience with Linux (SUSE/Red Hat) OS administration related to HANA. Proficiency in HANA Studio, Cockpit, HDBLCM, SQL Console, and monitoring tools. Strong understanding of SAP Notes, EWAs, MiniChecks, and SAP best practices. Experience working in enterprise cloud or large scale landscapes is a plus. Roles & Responsibilities: Provide L3 production support for SAP HANA databases across PROD, QAS, and DEV environments, including on call support. Own and resolve P1/P2 critical incidents, system outages, performance degradation, and data consistency issues within SLA/KPI targets. Perform root cause analysis (RCA) for recurring and complex issues and drive permanent corrective actions. Manage HANA performance tuning, including memory, CPU, I/O, savepoints, delta merges, and expensive SQL analysis. Execute and review backup, restore, and disaster recovery (DR) strategies, including PITR for MDC and non MDC systems. Handle HANA upgrades, revisions, patching, and system refreshes with minimal downtime and risk. Ensure high availability (HA) and DR readiness, including system replication monitoring and failover testing. Perform HANA security administration, including user/role management, audit logging, and compliance with organizational security policies. Analyze EarlyWatch Alerts (EWA), MiniChecks, and system health reports, and implement SAP recommended corrective actions. Collaborate with SAP Product Support, Basis, OS, Storage, and Network teams for cross layer issue resolution. Review and validate recommendations from scripts, tools, and checks against SAP standards and official documentation. Drive knowledge transfer, mentoring, and technical guidance for L1/L2 DBAs. Contribute to process improvements, automation, and documentation to improve operational efficiency and stability.
