SAP OpenText VIM & ABAP Consultant
Role Overview

Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced SAP OpenText VIM (Vendor Invoice Management) Consultant with a strong background in SAP ABAP. 
In this role, you will be responsible for the design, development, configuration, implementation, and support of OpenText VIM solutions integrated with SAP ECC or S/4HANA. You will bridge the gap between technical ABAP development and VIM functional workflows to streamline our clients' Accounts Payable processes.
Key Responsibilities
OpenText VIM & OCR Functional Expertise:
•    Configure OpenText VIM components including Document Processing (DP), Invoice Exception handling, Approval Workflows, and Invoice Cockpit.
•    Set up and maintain VIM baseline configurations, including document types, inbound channels (Email, Scan, IDoc), and mapping frameworks.
•    Implement and optimize OpenText Intelligent Capture (ICC/OCC) or Core Capture for SAP for seamless OCR processing.
•    Configure the VIM Fiori Apps (Invoice Approval, Enter Cost Assignment) to deliver a modern user experience.
SAP ABAP Development for VIM:
•    Develop and modify VIM-specific ABAP customizations using standard VIM business center frameworks, user exits, and BAdIs.
•    Design and troubleshoot complex SAP Business Workflows tied to VIM exception handling and invoice approvals.
•    Write clean, optimized ABAP code (including Object-Oriented ABAP) for custom validation rules, auto-posting logic, and custom reports.
Implementation & Support:
•    Participate in end-to-end implementation phases: blueprinting, configuration, custom development, testing (UT/UIT), data migration, and go-live.
•    Analyze and resolve complex technical issues, bugs, and performance bottlenecks in existing VIM systems.
•    Collaborate closely with functional teams (SAP FI/CO, MM) to ensure seamless cross-module integration.
Desired Candidate Profile
Technical Skills:
•    3–6 years of hands-on experience in SAP OpenText VIM (versions 7.5, 16.3, 20.4, or higher).
•    Strong experience with OpenText Invoice Capture Center (ICC) or OpenText Core Capture.
•    Core ABAP proficiency: SAP Workflows, BAdIs, User Exits, BAPIs, OO-ABAP, and Data Dictionary objects.
•    Familiarity with SAP FI (Accounts Payable, Invoice Verification) and SAP MM (Logistics Invoice Verification, PO matching) is highly preferred.
•    Experience working on SAP S/4HANA environments and configuring VIM Fiori applications is a major plus.
