As a Senior Director, Consulting and People Leader at NTT DATA Business Solutions, you are responsible for leading, developing, and supporting a high‑performing consulting team. This role focuses on talent management, team performance, and delivery excellence, ensuring consultants are effectively staffed, engaged, and positioned for success. You are accountable for hiring and onboarding talent, coaching and performance management, supporting successful project delivery, and promoting a collaborative, client‑focused culture aligned to organizational goals. You will partner closely with the PMO, Industry Solution Principals, Solution Architects, Senior Leadership, and fellow Consulting Directors to ensure consultants have the skills, tools, and support needed to succeed.
Key responsibilities:
A. People & Team Leadership
- Lead, inspire, and empower a team of consultants by establishing clear performance expectations and goals.
- Collaborate with consultants to identify challenges, mitigate risks, and enhance project performance while balancing client and team delivery expectations.
- Uphold project delivery standards and best practices, ensuring consultants are properly trained, enabled, and supported.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Provide mentorship and coaching to support professional growth and career development.
- Partner with other Consulting Directors and managers to create employee‑focused programs that promote stability, growth, and long‑term organizational sustainability.
- Maintain consistent communication across the consulting organization, including:
- Building strong one‑on‑one relationships with team members
- Inspiring the team to achieve ambitious goals
- Reinforcing the importance of teamwork and cross‑functional partnership
- Evaluate new consulting candidates in partnership with Recruiting and Staffing to support optimal hiring decisions.
- Execute the employee review process in a timely and effective manner, enabling open, honest discussions about career path, compensation, and morale.
- Ensure team compliance with company policies related to time entry, PTO, year‑end processes, and conflict resolution.
B. Consulting Responsibilities
- Actively participate in the recruiting process, including resume evaluation, interviews, and determining appropriate roles and compensation.
- Identify and implement improvements that contribute to revenue and EBITA growth.
- Represent the company internally and externally, supporting business development and new opportunity pursuits.
- Maintain strong knowledge of the NDBS workforce to align the right resources with customer and project needs.
- Serve as a leader in applying NDBS methodology and provide guidance to ensure successful project delivery.
- Demonstrate thought leadership and influence across managers and employees.
- Support presales activities as needed.
- Meet personal billable utilization targets.

D. Position Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or related field; advanced degrees or SAP certifications are a plus.
- Typically 10+ years of experience in the industry or in a client‑facing SAP consulting, project management, or delivery role with a strong record of success.
- Minimum 5 years of experience managing multiple resources or teams.
- Strong problem‑solving and decision‑making skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Solid understanding of industry trends and business processes.
- Demonstrated ability to learn and adapt to evolving SAP technologies.
- Proven ability to motivate, inspire, and develop a large team of consultants.
- Ability to communicate effectively as a trusted advisor to C‑level clients and NDBS executives.
E. Preferred Skills
- Ability to build strong relationships with SAP product and solution teams to understand and communicate strategic direction.
- Ability to build strong relationships with leaders and subject‑matter experts across the organization.
- Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of SAP strategy, roadmap, and emerging technologies.
- Contribute to thought leadership through white papers, blogs, conference participation, and webinars.
