Job Description:

Roles & Responsibilities:

In your role as Procedure Expert, you are supporting the delivery of robust, downtime optimized, and highly automated lifecycle management activities operated within ECS with the help of SPC tool.

The SAP Basis Procedure Expert needs the skill set required to support a range of SAP systems including ABAP, Java stack, Non-NetWeaver systems. The associate would be responsible to Plan / Validate / Maintain the Procedures according to the ECS standard and sometimes non-standard procedures as requested by the stakeholder.
Associate will be majorly responsible for

•    Monitor the Procedure execution and identify the task errors and reason
•    Get feedback from Delivery Team, SEO and Service Owners and identify scope of Procedure enhancement.
•    Prepare and maintain the ‘Task failure analysis report’ and track ‘First time Success Rate’.
•    Propose solution and suggest modification in Procedure by discussing with PO’s.
•    Drive the procedure enhancement by coordinate with developers / SEO / PO / Developer.
•    Coordinate with developers and support them with required inputs.
•    Perform Validation and report the issues encountered while running the procedures in VLAB environment with the concerned procedure owner to ensure the issue doesn’t reoccur in PROD Environment.
•    Sharing the feedback of the Task documentation if unclear or needs to be modified
•    First level of issue analysis encountered in the procedure by troubleshooting the underlying procedure along with the PO by understanding the basic ECS architecture, newly released features of the tools involved etc
•    Support Delivery colleagues in case of Procedure failure and propose immediate work around 
•    Proactive follow-up on the tickets created for the issues encountered 
•    Knowledge sharing within the team and with larger audience of the technical and process aspects
•    Maintaining documentation of the above deliverables .

Expectations and Tasks: 

•    Understand the SAF Basis Team functioning and process model.
•    Knowledge of ECS support tools - LVM, SPC, JIRA, CRT, Customer Launch Pad ,Service Now, TIC and Etc.
•    Develop a deep understanding of the Enterprise Cloud solution architecture and productization model along with the tools within 6-8 months of onboarding.
•    Associate should be capable of delivering the targets in Scope of work however is not limited to it solely 
•    Know the point of contact in each team for issue resolution
•    Capable to independently troubleshoot, reproduce, determine the root cause for repetitive issues
•    Other General OPO support activities include 
•    Handling of Run procedure automation failure with PO/SEO/SMEs  
•    Good understanding of the service lifecycle and deep idea on the automation cycles
•    Basic understanding of Landscape Virtualization Manager is needed

Work Experience: 

•    Minimum 6 years of SAP Technical Administration with SAP BASIS skills and should have knowledge & experience on Administration, monitoring and Operations of SAP solutions.
•    Strong SAP BASIS and system operations know-how, ideally in multi-cloud environment
•    Best practices experience in an SAP application / technology / solution (NetWeaver)
•    Sound knowledge of BASIS activities like System Installations, Client Administration, System Refresh/Copy, and application update/upgrades.
•    Professional experience in Cloud infrastructure, system administration or as a technical consultant in SAP cloud implementation & migration projects.
•    Knowledge in design and structuring of integrated E2E Lifecycle Management Procedures.
•    Good knowledge on OS, Database & Infrastructure (AWS,Azure,GCP) would be an added advantage.
•    Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
•    Willingness and experience working in international teams.
•    Ideally familiar with trending technologies and tools

Education and Qualifications:

•    Educated ideally to degree standard with additional vocational qualifications in specific technical skills.

Desirable:

•    SAP Net weaver Certification
•    S/4 conversion certification
•    ITIL V3/V4 Foundation Certification
