Role Overview
The React JS Engineer Consultant will design and deliver modern, responsive, accessible, and user-friendly front-end applications for S&P Loans platforms. This role will focus on building high quality UX interfaces for dashboards, workflow applications, governance platforms, AI enabled tools, and data rich enterprise systems.
The consultant will collaborate with Product Owners, UX Designers, Backend Engineers, AI Engineers, Data Teams, and Architecture stakeholders to deliver React based user interfaces that are scalable, maintainable, performant, and aligned with enterprise design standards.
This role requires strong React JS engineering experience, UX awareness, API integration skills, and working knowledge of Python, C# , and SQL to collaborate effectively across the full application stack.
Consultant Engagement Expectations
The consultant will be expected to rapidly onboard into S&P Global’s application ecosystem, understand existing UI standards and design patterns, and contribute quickly to active delivery initiatives.
The consultant will deliver reusable UI components, maintain clean documentation, support integration testing, and provide knowledge transfer to internal teams for ongoing support and enhancement.

Key Responsibilities:
•    Design, develop, and maintain enterprise grade front end applications using React JS, TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3 .
•    Build reusable, accessible, and responsive UI components aligned with S&P Global design standards and UX guidelines.
•    Translate wireframes, user stories, product requirements, and design prototypes into high-quality front-end implementations.
•    Develop user interfaces for AI enabled workflows, including conversational interfaces, AI agent task panels, recommendation views, audit trails, approval workflows, and human in the loop screens.
•    Integrate React applications with backend services developed using C# , .NET, Python, REST APIs, and microservices .
•    Collaborate with backend and data teams to display SQL backed enterprise data accurately and efficiently.
•    Build data rich dashboards, workflow screens, search interfaces, forms, visualization components, and exception management interfaces.
•    Optimize front end performance using lazy loading, caching, pagination, virtualization, code splitting, and efficient state management.
•    Ensure UI accessibility, responsiveness, cross browser compatibility, usability, and compliance with WCAG standards.
•    Write unit, integration, and UI automation tests using tools such as Jest, React Testing Library, Cypress, or Playwright.
•    Work with CI/CD pipelines to support automated build, test, and deployment of front-end applications.
•    Document components, interfaces, integration points, configuration details, and handover instructions.
Required Qualification.
•    Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, Human Computer Interaction, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
•    Strong hands-on experience developing enterprise applications using React JS .
•    Proficiency in TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3 , and modern front end build tools.
•    Strong understanding of UX/UI principles, responsive design, accessibility, design systems, and front-end performance.
•    Working knowledge of Python for scripting, API interaction, automation, or AI enabled application integration.
•    Working knowledge of C# and .NET backend services.
•    Experience integrating front end applications with REST APIs, GraphQL APIs, authentication services, and enterprise systems.
•    Experience with state management libraries such as Redux, React Query, or Context API.
•    Experience testing React applications using Jest, React Testing Library, Cypress, Playwright, or similar tools.
Preferred Qualifications
•    Experience in financial services, fintech, market intelligence, ratings, commodities, or regulated enterprise environments.
•    Experience with design systems such as Material UI, Fluent UI, Ant Design, Carbon, Bootstrap, or custom enterprise design systems.
•    Experience with visualization libraries such as D3.js, Highcharts, Chart.js, Recharts, AG Grid, or similar tools.
•    Experience building AI enabled UX patterns, including chat interfaces, prompt interfaces, explainability views, and workflow approval screens.
•    Familiarity with cloud hosted applications on AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
